Their president believes it can work in ports and new titles and be very successful.
The president of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, has had a meeting today with investors and has made ??some statements about Nintendo’s new console, Project CafĂ©, which will be presented the next month in the Satoru Iwata conference, at E3.
“The new Nintendo console is really a fantastic platform. We believe will be tremendously successful. What we see is that we will be able to leverage all the work we do for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as we create games for the platform.
So we will not have to redo all the work of the games we create. We will be able to use all the capacity that the console gives us, but we will also use the work we do on other platforms. ” What remains clear is that we are talking about existing games or those that lie ahead.
I see this as a mixed bag, while it will be great for Wii players to finally play with upgraded graphics I don’t really like the whole “porting” of games, we’ve seen this with alot of PC games and frankly they are very bad, buggy, no support, we are seeing a gaming industry that is first and for most catering to its investors than us gamers. What do you think?
