Rolling for the Win
An easy way to make Geralt faster early on is to get one of the first warrior path skills (unlocked at level 6-7 by putting points into the Witcher path). The warrior skill allows you to dodge further distances (level 1 is %100 and level 2 is %200). When your in wide open areas or even in a deserted part of a city, pull out Geralt’s sword and start rolling. This will get you wherever you want to go much faster, because if you time it right you can roll without pausing in between rolls.
Note: If you try this near guards they may start to pursue you, just put your sword away as soon as they try and they will leave you alone.
Easter Egg
Assassins Creed Reference
During the Prologue – Barricade mission where you have to destroy a gate by using a ballista, drop down the wall to a series of scaffold and down to the ground. You will have to fight several soldiers from the rebellion group and make way to the guarded ballista. After finishing off your enemies and cleared the square, head back further back from the ballista and look to your right beside a house and you will see a dead man dressed in a white robe with a red belt (Altair Ibnu La Ahad reference) laying face down on top of a broken hay wagon. Looking a up and there’s a wooden ledge with some bird sitting around where assassin usually survey the surrounding (synchronize) and perform the leap of faith. Geralt will give a funny monologue that he commonly used in a fight that sounds βI guess they never learn”, assuming that a leap from such height is impossible. You will also get a hidden ability that named “Assassin” that give a damage bonus on the attack that lands on enemy’s back, a reference to Assassin’s Creed infamous back stab assassination.
CD Projekt has announced a day ago the launch date for the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
After many doubts about its arrival, the company has confirmed that April 17 is the day chosen for Geralt of Rivia make an appearance on Microsoft’s console. The game, as you know, incorporates a number of improvements, all DLCs and an extra modes that we have not been seen in the PC version. Sucks for PC gamers!
They also confirmed that there will be two limited editions, one called Enhanced Edition (including soundtrack, game guide and a map) and also the Dark Edition, which includes the above and a bonus DVD with making-Off, aΒ hardcover art book, a medallion and several stickers. Unfortunately, it is unknown whether Witcher 2 will arrive to all countries (remember that PC only receive one, the other remained in United Kingdom), but we’ll leave you also with the image of the game.
