A look into Tekken 3D Prime Edition for Nintendo 3DS

Release Date: 17/2/2012

Tekken 3D Prime Edition is an adaptation of the one on one fighting game hit for Nintendo 3DS by Namco Bandai. Adapts the gameplay of Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 to the mobile console screen, with an extensive cast of characters, all with their signature moves. Apart from extra game modes, placed on the same cartridge there will be included a 3D image of the latest Tekken animated movie, Tekken: Blood Vengeance.

The Tekken series is one of the most beloved by fans of fighting games, and since its inception it has always been tied exclusively to the PlayStation, up to its sixth installment, and with the exception of Tekken Advance, a title that came out in 2002 for Game Boy Advance. Since then the series had not come back on a Nintendo console till now, for within a few days, on 17 February,Tekken 3D Prime Edition will arrive on the Nintendo 3DS.

The essence of Tekken is faithfully transferred to the Nintendo Portable

With a character roster of, 40 in all, online mode, and with some extras such as content from Tekken: Blood Vengeance, Tekken 3D Prime Edition is set from it’s release date a must for lovers of 3DS  fighting games. With the gameplay faithfully transferred to the portable hardware, and about 60 frames per second it will be very robust, whether or not 3D is enabled, this title has generated a few questions in regard to its modes of play, something that is very rare. Technically also seems that we don’t have much information, regarding detailed  levels and maps, but the fighters do have good graphics and some cool animations, all favored by 60 fps. It remains to see where this title gets placed between Dead or Alive: Dimensions and Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, although being a very different game altogether, will be fully compatible. Very soon, on  the 17th of February, we will have no more doubts.
