Guild Wars 2, one of the most anticipated games of the year, announced the opening of its first public beta testing.

That’s the good news, the not so good is that this beta is only available to those who have purchased the game in pre-purchase, which has already been announced on latestvideogamecheats.com.

The beta will take place from 27 to 29 April and those involved in it will receive three days of early access to the game once it is officially released, and a ‘ring hero’ item that will give players an advantage ( even if not provided on stats or otherwise).

Those who meet the eligibility requirements will receive an email from NCsoft with additional information indicating how to download the client and register their account, and if you need more details or have any questions, can access the ArenaNet blog explaining what you can expect from the Guild Wars 2 beta.

Players can choose from three races (human, charr or norn) and eight professions, plus you can focus on exploring the world or explore the PvP system, which seems to be one of the most interesting features in the world of Tyria.

ArenaNet has not proven shy in their statements, saying they want that Guild Wars 2 to be the best MMO ever seen, so we will be attentive to what they have to offer. So while the title has generated considerable interest by promising a more focused experience of a true RPG, more phasing and reduced mechanical attributes that can become tedious as the excessive grinding.

Gamers, go tell your friends and family to forget about you for several weekends, because between the Diablo III open beta that has started NOW, and the Guild Wars 2 beta 2 upcoming beta and not to mention the Final Fantasy XIV beta coming up in May, there will be many worlds to explore.
