MAJOR UPDATE. After the jump, we add a first gameplay video of the multiplayer mode full of brutal fatalities to which we are accustomed to in the series.
This is something we saw coming for some time, and hours before its official launch at 17:00 hours peninsular (you can see it from here), it has already been confirmed the multiplayer mode of God of War: Ascension. The multiplayer mode will be between 2 to 8 players, and so far, they have only revealed a kind of domination style of play, in which two teams (each of 4 users) will compete to advance and clear a full level before until the fingers of a huge titan to seize control. And worth noting, that coop mode for the story mode is still there.
Apparently, we can play under the services of Zeus, Poseidon, Hades and Ares, each with different group skills, weapons and different attire. Among the peculiarities of each team, we can customize your character. There will also be interactive elements in the levels, making it more difficult to get opponents with fire, spikes or the like.
Graphically, the images could not be better, and this mode of play for both teams competing could work fine at the end, but the truth, until they show it in motion, it is difficult to draw good conclusions. Also it the studio must be under extreme pressure to release a multi player mode to gather more interest and sales much like we saw in the Uncharted series.
