Determined by an all unique graphics engine, the fan best gange is back and put forth in additional gore even more than ever. Mortal Kombat (regarded as Mortal Kombat 9 by the fans) presents various game-play emphasizes tag team and the deepest story mode of any game of this genre. Players can decide on from an impressive lineup of the recreation’s famous warriors and challenge their companions in conventional 1 vs. 1 matches, or undertake some brand new diversion modes.

From latestvideogamecheats.com we want to bring you the review of this fighting game, Mortal Kombat for PSVita. As we have seen in previous games like Marvel vs Ultimate. Capcom 3, the PS Vita is presented as an ideal platform to enjoy fighting games.

This game offers new features as well as others we have seen in earlier versions in the series. The game originally came out on consoles a year ago and it provided some innovative features. Includes all the challenges, the story mode and characters of the four DLC’s that came later. As a bonus, the Portable version will allow us to enjoy other extra challenges that are designed to be filled with new characters and specific controls of the PS VITA, both touchscreen and using the accelerometer.

Combat

This installment is to be expected and we can enjoy brutal and bloody battles with a fighting system based on spectacular combos. The fighting can go from being boring due to the enemy AI being too easy or frustratingly difficult, but mainly we can enjoy an adjusted difficulty setting.

Also present are the hits who, thanks to X-rays we can see the damage you cause to the enemy. It’s another way to highlight the bloody violence in this fighting game.

Campaign

The campaign mode again is as it was in the console version. The story, as usual in this type of game is totally secondary. In Mortal Kombat we are ready to fight, and not to hear a story mode. We get into the skin of Raiden and his band, trying to change the past through the most important events of previous Mortal Kombat.

Controls

This area is without doubt the best aspect of this PS VITA version. The controls are perfectly polished, with the use of the touch screen that provides a multitude of moves and combos. Use of the pad has been replaced by touch screen, and simple movements one way or another that we allow us to move with absolute precision and carry out attacks in a completely innovative way.

New tower challenges.

Another of the improvements is the new independent tower challenges, focusing on the novelty in this edition. These challenges are designed to be completed using the touch screen, accelerometer (we clear the screen of blood by swiping the screen, defuse bombs, strangle enemies …) and new characters (Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, Freddy Krueger … )

There will be two mini-games included. The first is a “Fruit Ninja” (the famous game for smart phones) where we have to cut off body parts to get maximum points. In the second we will use the accelerometer to keep your character from falling into a ravine.

Graphics

The game runs at 60 fps, with an incredible stability and few of frame rate drops. The passage from the PS3 to the PS Vita is graphically achieved and overall looks really good, except in the modeling of some of the fighters, giving the feeling of stiffness and look a little jaded. Perhaps this is one aspect that should have had a little more attention by the developers.

Multiplayer

The game supports both wireless and Ad-Hoc modes. The online experience is pretty good, and the game provides a good experience with perfectly fluent graphics.

Final Comment

If you did not get Mortal Kombat for the PS3 or Xbox 360 and you’re a fan of the Mortal Kombat series we recommend that you take a look at this game. Even if you already have it, the new tower of challenges ensures a few extra hours of fun. But if you’re not a big fan of this series, be aware of other games that are coming out, such as Metal Gear Solid HD.
