The developer explains that graphically the versions will be compatible.
Electronic Arts and Crytek are working on what will, surely, be one of the most important releases for the first quarter of 2013, Crysis 3, which will be released on current generation consoles and PC.
This cross-platform nature accomplished in the second part (the first was a PC exclusive of Crysis at launch) has irritated the most demanding of gamers, they see a reduction in PC graphics by the simultaneous development on consoles.
Rasmus Højengaard in his own words says, who is responsible for the shooter, has been clear in this respect: Crysis 3 is not graphically limited to PC and will be going on sale also for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
In fact, Crytek is working on specific functionality for the PC version of the shooter that will take advantage of the “high-end computers” and can not be enjoyed on consoles of this generation.
Højengaard jokes with the level of demand for PC gamers, and ensures that they only want Crysis to support PC: ”PC gamers want Crysis to be left on their platform.”
