The author of the popular Paper Planes believes that new generations are subjected to violence in video games and then sent to war.
Mathangi Arulpragasam’s name certainly does not say much, but if you say her stage name MIA sure many would come to remember that song Paper Planes had an important impact on pop music media in spite of its aggressive, unusual political message.
The singer is very committed to various social and political causes, has recently stated herΒ concern about the extreme violence of video games and how they affect the new generations of youth.
“They feel like they know the violence when they don’t. Not having a proper understanding of violence, especially what it’s like on the receiving end of it, just makes you interpret it wrong and makes inflicting violence easier.”
