The mechanics would come to be known internally as Smart Glass.
The site Kotaku claims to have sources that have been revealed that one of the big surprises from Microsoft for their conference this afternoon would be a way to offer streaming video game console content through to mobiles and tablets.
The system would be a novelty known as Xbox Live Companion, not to be confused with the Xbox Companion application, and provide the contents of Xbox 360 games directly to such portable devices.
The sources explained that it was known internally as smart glass system, a possibility which has been less strongly rumored in recent days and said to work through IOS and Android devices or Windows Phone with the simple download of the program Xbox Live Companion to their devices.
It appears to use the same servers and game accounts while using the program, we could see things like maps or game statistics which we currently enjoy withing the console itself. Xbox Live users have access to such basic things, while Gold subscribers have more advanced content available as in-game inventory, mini hacking-games and other content straight from the game in our portable devices.
Remember, this afternoon Microsoft conference at E3 2012, we will keep you informed of new and upcoming news regarding this matter.
