Sony confirms that it has already developed games for the next generation

The company could be, again, the last to launch its next home console.

The head of Sony Worldwide Studios in the UK has stated he would not feel intimidated by the fact that Nintendo has given the go-ahead to the next generation of consoles. Apparently, Sony’s next console could reach the market in early 2014.

“Not at all, that simple,” said Scott Rhode in an interview with Joystiq, when asked about the leadership of U. Wii “We have a very strong vision about what we are going to do for the next generation. And we will not talk about it yet. ”

In another interview with GameTrailers, Rhode explained that “although we will not yet say when the machine goes on sale, I think everyone can imagine which of course we play in developing the next generation.” The manager just did not see the sense to talk about PlayStation 4 in this E3 2012.

Following Sony’s conference this week at E3, the director of the North American division said Jack Tretton live on Spike TV said that it was important “to be the best, not the first.” This statement reinforces recent reports that Microsoft would release their next console in late 2013 and Sony would choose to be the last, in early 2014. This order would be consistent with its current generation PS3.
