The game is a spiritual sequel to the classic “Castle of Illusion”
Nintendo has announced that Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion will be released for Nintendo 3DS on November 18. The title is only available exclusively on the Nintendo portable, and another different game also starring Mickey, in this case Epic Mickey 2, will reach every home console.
The project leader and Warren Spector had the title on display in the conference dedicated strictly to Nintendo 3DS. The developer said that it is a completely new game that tries to rescue the Disney classic of consoles that reigned in the nineties.
The game, inspired by the classic Castle of Illusion, will allow users to draw objects on the bottom screen that may be transferred to the level that will appear in the upper display and with this option it will help gamers reach to the next level. Each level is a game inspired by a Disney movie such as Aladdin, Peter Pan and Beauty and the Beast.
The game is being developed by Dreamrift, whose developer confessed to having had a curious habit when he was little, every morning he would play Castle of Illusion from Sega to clear it.
