The first game to use Unreal Engine 4 will launch next year

It will be the flagship engine of Epic Games.

The head of Epic Games, Mark Rein has given an interview with Joystiq where the American web site has announced that the first game that will use Unreal Engine 4 will be launched next year.

“Sure, it will be for next year, just do not know when exactly. Until we are completely clear when we will finish the game and when want to put it on the market, we do not really know this kind of date,” he declared.

“For us it certainly is important to have a game become our flagship. That game for which we have developed the engine. Gears of War was the game developed with Unreal Engine 3, and its launch has great significance in terms of licenses, and also important for us, ” he says.
