The latest evidence on Gran Turismo jump to PS Vita

The title is on the agenda of Sony

Sony has new proof of its intention to carry their great racing franchise, Gran Turismo, to PlayStation Vita. A logical step in our opinion but now seems closer than ever. The question is: is it a reversal of Gran Turismo 5 or a completely new version? Or so it seems less likely will wait for Gran Turismo 6 ?

PlayStation Vita needs the support of more powerful titles. It is true that Sony is striving to carry its handheld all the great games in its catalog, but the situation in PS Vita requires even greater efforts in the form of iconic titles that make it an attractive option.

And among those great games you can not miss one of the most important sagas of Sony over its history within the game industry: Gran Turismo. A title from the beginning had every chance of landing on the PS Vita but Sony has not made any comment.

And few doubt that Polyphony Digital is working on the new Grand Turismo 6 for the home platform from Sony, but what about its handheld?

Without official confirmation yet, what seems clear is that Sony is already considering the possibility of a GT for PS Vita. This was hinted at a renewed promotion of PlayStation Plus service, which also opens the possibility that it acquired a PS3 game, to offer large discounts to its corresponding handheld, or vice versa.

Regardless of the offer in their promotion they have sent a series of user surveys with multiple questions about the interests aroused on certain games or games to come. Among them is Gran Turismo for PS Vita: “You told us earlier that you would be interested in buying a Vita PS version of the latest Gran Turismo. Knowing that you could get a discount on the PS3 version of the game, how interested you are now in the PS Vita game , “asks the survey, as recorded by IGN.

In response to that sentence, it makes sense to think that Sony is preparing Gran Turismo for PS Vita correspond to the extraordinary and successful Gran Turismo 5 for PlayStation 3, as its successor, Gran Turismo 6 is too far ahead and we think that a PS Vita version is more likely.
