EA shows they are “satisfied” and sees a “bright future” for the service.
Electronic Arts has announced that Battlefield 3: Premium now has over 800,000 subscribers in its first two weeks of availability, demonstrating the success of the service.
The head of EA Games, Patrick Soderlund, said he was “satisfied” with the current performance of the service, believing that it has “great potential” but clarifies that it is too early to see the return that it is capable of achieving.
In fact EA does not rule out to create subscription models for their other major franchises, with the intention of offering a specific service to players who wish to experience more game content.
Battlefield 3: Premium has been available from June 5 and provides subscribers with five expansion packs for Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand, Close Quarters, Armored Kill, End Game and Aftermath.
