Activision is working on an FPS on The Walking Dead

Will star Daryl Dixon and will take place before the events of the series.

The interactive adventure that Telltale Games has developed over the license of The Walking Dead is not the only game in the series we could enjoy in the coming months.

The U.S. publisher Activision has announced the development of an FPS on The Walking Dead, a work commissioned from the Terminal Reality studio, responsible for Bloodrayne  and Ghostbusters: The Video Game, among other games.

This new action game tells the journey of the brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon in search of the safe promised land in Atlanta. The game is the setting before the events of the series.

The zombies that are in the game not only react to our shots and the presence of the character, but also the actual noise and odor that the hero brings in every situation. Due to the shortage of ammunition and supplies, the player has to choose between attacking zombies or avoid them or hide from zombies.

Although gamers will only control Daryl, along the game will appear recognizable characters from the series, which the user can join if they see fit.

This FPS on The Walking Dead is being developed for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and has a launch planned for early 2013.
