Two of the most important from the Nintendo franchises, Metroid and Starfox, could end up coming to Wii U, the new console from the company of Kyoto to be released this 2012. At least that can be sensed from the words of Shigeru Miyamoto, recently awarded the Prince of Asturias Communication and known as the creator of series such as Mario or The Legend of Zelda.
The creative Japanese has highlighted the features that have the new Game Pad of Wii U and its possible implementation in games like Metroid. In this respect the title of Samus, Miyamoto says that “Metroid is very easy to imagine some interesting application for Wii U” as IGN has said.
“I think we have a screen with built-in gyro really does offer many interesting opportunities for development. I feel that the possibilities of the Game Pad for Metroid could be really fantastic. Certainly there are many things that could be made for this game,” says Miyamoto.
On the other hand, he has said that “personally,” one of the franchises of the company that he would like to see in Wii U is Starfox.
Currently, none of the two series have been confirmed for their appearance on the Wii U yet.
