Learn all the details of Forge mode for the action game Halo 4. The Certain Affinity’s team shows us a video of the latest news of the multiplayer map editor, one of the main attractions for those who want to fully customize their games.

During the Rooster Teeth Expo, the Certain Affinity team explained the main details of the map editor called Forge Mode. As you can see below, this editor will allow us to design levels with ease. A simple tool that will allow for max customization in our games.

As stated in the video, this is a draft version, not final. However, lets look at some of the most important news of the publisher. For example, as noted in previous articles, we can easily locate and duplicate objects. Hovering over them  via a cursor will be green and your name is highlighted. You only have to place it in the right place and lock it to secure.

On the other hand, perhaps most interestingly, we can easily attach our structures. Always difficult to fit two pieces. Now, thanks to the magnetic load, we can glue it together smoothly, action that allow us to generate large buildings or bridges. If you take a look at the video you can see how easy it is to join pieces of a bridge, a factor that will help players concentrate more on design than trying to balance their creations.

The video also shows the possibility to create spaces where physics is altered. For example, we create a platform that will allow us to perform great leaps to a higher structure. Adding each of these advances, the result can be promising. For our part, we should emphasize that it is intuitive way to handle objects and just think how much fun the outcome can be.
