Epic Games has no intention of bringing Unreal Engine 4 to Wii U

Although a game using this engine could be scaled to fit the platform.

Epic Games has said they don’t intend to bring the Unreal Engine 4 to Wii U, but the games that don’t use the graphics engine could head to new Nintendo console without any problem.

“We have games that use Unreal Engine 3 running on Wii U,” said Mark Rein of Epic. “You have seen games on the Nintendo press conference this year, as the great demo from our friends at Warner Bros. To show Arkham City running on Wii U. and Aliens: Colonial Marines will head to Wii U, and also works with Unreal” .

“I will say I do not think our intention is to bring Unreal Engine 4 to Wii U, but Unreal Engine 4 will be extremely scalable.”

“It will work on mobile phones and a wide variety of things, so if a client decides he wants to take a game based on Unreal Engine 4 to U Wii, they could. But Unreal Engine 3 is what really fits well on that platform.”

Anyway, Dana Cowley from Epic Games said that so far they have not confirmed the presence of Unreal Engine 4 in a platform beyond PC, so you have to wait for new information to learn more.
