Meet the first games released on Steam by Greenlight

With just a week online, Greenlight users have already decided which games will be released on the Steam platform. We will then review the listing and titles that have passed the hardest test of all, the players.

As you know, the Greenlight service has now been running for a few weeks. Its goal? Provide independent developers and users a democratic tool to position titles on Steam, the platform most important in the Internet distribution market.

The operation is simple. A developer puts a title on Greenlight and players decide by their votes whether or not to give it the green light to see the light. You see, its a clever way to filter through titles, that is, make a section of  quality games, but don’t separate them from independent titles. In fact, Grenlight has on released a number of titles. They are the first to make the jump to Steam, the same list of games we’ll show below. If you wish to know more about the title, we invite you to visit the official website.

Black Mesa

Excellent revision of the classic Half-Life that you can download for free on September 14 via Steam. A shooter that promises to put the name of Carlos Montero, the author, in the firing line. The following link will give you the requirements and more information on the title.

Cry of Fear

Brutal modification of Half-Life that has given rise to 8 hours of a terrifying campaign. In the video below you will see the reaction of different players. The images are not wasted … not suitable for players with heart problems.

Dream

Howard Phillips is a lost kid, with no destination but intends to find the meaning of things, the meaning of life. A subjective perspective experience, with puzzles and elements of great originality. Dreams, nightmares and a 3D environment full of personality.

Heroes & Generals

Military action in first person, with tactical multiplayer and has strong strategic components. The proposal is modeled on Free-to-Play so you have no excuse not to try it.

Kenshi

A comprehensive and immersive RPG. It is currently in alpha stage, but ready to give it everything. It has a demo and seems perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in a role-playing experience, construction and sparring clans.

McPixel

One of our favorite games. Go over blocks of 6 levels. Each of these levels will be limited by an approximate time of 15 seconds. You have to interact with the environment to defuse a bomb by the ‘click and point’ scheme. You will perform all levels cyclically repeating each until you find the solution. Easy as it is addictive.

No More Room in Hell

A sure bet. Cooperative action in the first person and under the scheme of a ‘survival horror’. Of course, one of the most outstanding titles from the list, if its appearing here is only to respect the alphabetical order. If you like killing zombies, you can do it with 8 friends … and its free!

Project Zomboid

A sandbox about zombies that cleverly uses the mechanics of light and shadows to dive into an attractive proposition for survival. You can create weapons, join NPC characters and try to survive the undead hordes.

Routine

Routine is defined as a survival action game set in a space station in the eighties. Explore in a non-linear way to  discover why people are disappearing. Will you provide the answer?

Towns

A twist on games like Diablo or Dungeon Keeper. Can you imagine that instead of embodying the hero you can make the city to be always provided with the best resources? A change of original perspective that surely will not go unnoticed.

What abou you, which one do you prefer? Do you know any games worth rescuing? Do not forget that you can share with us your opinion. Contribute here or through our forum, where you will find numerous discussions.
