Wii U will arrive on December 8 in Japan

Now is the day that many of us we had been waiting for several months. Wii U was presented to the world at E3 2011, but that year in Los Angeles, Nintendo did not offer too many details about its new console, but quite the opposite. Wii U left us all a bit confused, not knowing about any features except its new tablet-controller.
A year later, at E3 2012, Nintendo presented a wide range of games that come with both Wii U at launch and in the first months of its life. They did however specify more about the new gamepad but Satoru Iwata and company continued without being too clear on some aspects. Two of the most important: price and release date. This time, the wait is over. Thanks to the last Nintendo Direct, today we can say that Wii U will hit the Japanese market on December 8 in two models.
On one hand the white model of 8 GB for 26,250 yen (about 260 euros/$335) and other Premium model in black 32 GB for 31,500 yen (315 euros/$400). We imagine that American and European prices will be similar to the Japanese, but we have to wait for this afternoon to confirm this.
Among other novelties presented at Nintendo Direct Japon, they have confirmed New Super Mario Wii U as a launch title. It is also reported that the price of the new Gamepad will be about 130 euros while the Pro Controler cost about 50 euros to change.
Nintendo has made clear, now, its roadmap for the immediate future. Wii U will be a reality in just a three months, and will be with the console and games in the market and in the halls of our living rooms, when we can enjoy the new experience that Nintendo wants to offer. Time will be responsible to confirm if it is a success or not of the new platform.
Starting today, no more rumors and speculation (at least the most important). The next page in the history of Nintendo is about to begin.
