Darkspore announced by Electronic Arts. PC role playing game

The game, as its name suggests, is inspired by the Spore universe.

A few months ago it was brought to our attention the fact that Electronic Arts had registered the trademark Darkspore, which seemed to give hints of a future launch of a dark and gloomy version of the successful series of Spore Maxis.

At dawn today the North American distributor itself has officially announced the game as a PC exclusive, defining it as “an action RPG, in which” the action has a very fast pace “and that we must fight against aliens to save the galaxy.

The game will be available in February 2011 and will feature four-player cooperative and single player campaign and various multiplayer modes.
