Gearbox has given us many joys over the past weekend. After announcing recently that the development of Duke Nukem Forever was finished and the game will be released in 2011, the company responsible for Borderlands has confirmed still working on Aliens: Colonial Marines, a title based on the masterpiece. Fear not, as the shooter is still very much alive. Joystiq got the scoop from Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford at PAX where he was asked about Colonial Marines and revealed that as it’s a FOX property they don’t have total freedom to talk about it, but they have recently spoken to SEGA about the game:
“Earlier this week, I was down in San Francisco and I had lunch with the head of Sega of America and he is committed to this. And we’re going to make this awesome. I know it’s been awhile since the announcement first happened that we’re in for Aliens. I promise you it will not take as long as Duke Nukem Forever. We’re not going to let this dream die, it’s going to happen.”
