Contact Beam Location

You will find the Contact Beam in Chapter 7, Into the Void, when you are on a mission to reroute power from Mining Administration. You will detour to a records office on the second floor of the ship (you will need level 2 security clearance to access, though). This is an essential weapon and one that Isaac will use throughout the game.

The Contact Beam is an engineering tool that is designed to pound and soften, originally used with respect to precious ores and minerals, but has become a powerful weapon against tough enemies. Its primary fire requires charging before it can be fired, so you have to play wisely when working with this weapon.
