V Rising has you awakening as a vampire in a hostile world. You will need to find blood to regain your strength, and build your way up to the top of the vampire hierarchy. To do so, you will need to create a base for you and your friends or attempt to go it alone. If you’re wondering if you can play the game with a controller, then we’ve got the answer you need in this guide.
Controllers in V Rising
Unfortunately, V Rising does not have controller support and it doesn’t appear that it will be getting it anytime soon. It has been a frequently requested feature, but the developers aren’t currently working on adding it to the game.
The most recent response that we can find on the subject is from the official V Rising Twitter account that responded to a question about controller support:
Hey Wizard, we aren’t currently working on controller support and don’t have any plans to do so. It isn’t impossible, but I wouldn’t expect it.

While offline mode is currently likely going to be added to the game, it appears that controller support is going to be pretty unlikely. Hopefully, if mods end up being part of the game, some enthusiast will add the ability to use a controller to get around in V Rising.
This is unfortunate, because quite a few players have become comfortable with controllers, particularly in isometric ARPGs. Diablo 2: Resurrected for instance launched with controller support, which was an addition to a 20+ year old game. So, it doesn’t seem like it should be particularly difficult to add the functionality, so we’ll see if something changes.
That’s everything you need to know about if you can play with a controller in the game! We’ve got more great content on the game in the V Rising section of our website.
